Welcome to CHEAR - Our Homeschool Co-op!
Our homeschool co-op is a Christ-centered community where families come together to enrich their homeschooling journeys through shared learning, fellowship, and service. We are not a school but rather are a partnership of like-minded families collaborating to provide unique opportunities for education, socialization, and spiritual growth. Every parent has a part to play in our success!
As a co-op, we rely on the active involvement of all member families. Parents play essential roles in teaching, assisting, and furthermore supporting co-op operations, making this a truly collaborative effort. Our expectations amongst our membership is to serve beyond what is required of each family by service hours in order to fulfill our vision as a homeschool cooperative. Our classes and activities are designed to complement and reinforce what you teach at home, not replace your role as the primary educator. We do not offer accreditation, diplomas, or official transcripts. Instead, our focus is on fostering community, offering enriching classes, and creating meaningful opportunities for growth and connection.
We invite families who share our vision and are committed to helping us bring our children something better. At the heart of our co-op is a spirit of collaboration and service. Every family actively contributes—whether by teaching, assisting in activities, or supporting organizational needs—to ensure that both children and parents thrive in this community. We use what skills and talents we have to be the light of Jesus through education.
If you’re seeking a flexible, family-driven environment that aligns with your Christian values, we encourage you to learn more about joining us. Participation requires a willingness to embrace our mission, actively contribute, and adhere to our community guidelines. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching experience for our children and families alike.

Our Application Process
We Are Excited to Welcome New Families!
We are seeking families who share our values and are eager to actively support our co-op's vision. Due to limited spots available this year, our application process will follow a slightly different structure, beginning with a New Family Questionnaire, which serves as Step 1 in the process.
Reference Requirements
We require two family references from individuals outside of your family. Reference information must be submitted at the end of your application. Incomplete reference submissions will result in an invalid application, and we will not proceed with your questionnaire.
Your references will have one week to complete their forms from the time they are sent. It is your responsibility to ensure your references complete these forms in a timely manner. You will receive a notification once we have received all references. If references are not submitted by the 7-day deadline, your application will not be approved, and you will need to resubmit.
Key Deadlines
-
New Family Questionnaire Deadline: March 1st
After this date, the questionnaire form will no longer be available, and we will move forward with the next steps of the process.
-
Preview Day Invitations: Accepted families will be notified and invited to attend Preview Day on March 26th. This private event is exclusively for families whose applications have been approved. During Preview Day, you will have the opportunity to:
Next Steps
Following Preview Day, we will conduct family interviews during designated timeframes in April (dates to be announced in March). Please note that a completed interview does not guarantee acceptance into our co-op. Due to high demand and limited space, we may not be able to accept every family who applies. So please stay tuned following your interview to find out if your family has a final welcome letter.
Application Tips
Please answer the application questions thoroughly. Your responses will help us determine whether our co-op is the right fit for your family.
If you’re looking for a flexible, family-centered environment that aligns with Christian values, we encourage you to begin the application process. Join us in creating an enriching and supportive experience for our children and families alike!
Thank you,

Our co-op is a Christian faith-based organization. Are you comfortable with our mission and values?
Statement of Faith
This co-op welcomes participants of any denomination to engage in classes, as we believe that we are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28). Tutors must teach in a manner that honors Biblical principles, recognizing that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10),and that we should do everything in love (1 Corinthians 16:14). We believe that the Bible is the final and only source of authority in our lives, as it is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Our core values and character traits are rooted in the Bible, and we believe that our faith in Christ is essential to our success as homeschoolers and as individuals, as we trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). We are committed to deepening our understanding of the Bible and applying its teachings in all areas of our lives, as the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Biblical Foundation & Statement of Faith We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16). We affirm that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). We affirm the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (Romans 5:8-9), His bodily resurrection (Luke 24:39), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-11), and His personal return in power and glory(Revelation 1:7). We affirm that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man (Titus 3:5). We affirm the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Galatians 5:16). We affirm the resurrectiion of both the saved and the lost, with those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29). We affirm the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:3-4). |
