Q: |
When do we meet? |
A: |
Classes will take place once a week on Wednesdays with the exception of a few upper level classes and fine arts programs that meet twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) during the school year. Many of these classes will include homework assigned by the tutor to be completed at home. As the primary educator, parents are to keep their student accountable on the assignments given and be responsible for grading their children's work. To this end, the tutor and the parent both have the responsibility to keep the student accountable. |
Q: |
What do we pay? |
A: |
New families owe a $25 application fee, and all families must pay a one time yearly membership fee. Tuition is due at the first Wednesday of every month for a total of 8 equal payments. Tuition is paid September-May and no tuition is owed in December. Every tutor is independently contracted and the co-op does not submit payment to them. Each class also has a one time supply fee for the year that is due in around the time of class registration. Classes range from $20-$50 depending on the class monthly. |
Q: |
What is required by parents? |
A: |
Each family must have a total of 20 Service Hours for the year. You can sign up for 4 hours at a time or a 1-2 hour lunch time. Both parents are welcome to sign up, but only one parent is required to attend the service hours. You must show up for your shift on time. |
Q: |
When do we sign up for classes? |
A: |
CHEAR offers over 100 amazing classes. You are welcome to access the class list under the Classes tab on our website. Once registration is officially over, we will sign up for classes in June. Classes do fill up quickly, and once a class is filled, you must find an alternate class. |
Q: |
What does your CHEAR membership offer? |

Outside of our amazing classes, CHEAR has many different events, and clubs. You can find our list of clubs under the clubs tab of our website. CHEAR also offers National Honor Society, Graduation, Christmas Ball, and many different productions with our Show Tunes, Show Tunes Jr., Show Kids, and Music Makers. We offer field trips, clubs, and a Science Fair! |
Q: |
Do I have to sign up for a full day of classes? |
A: |
Do I have to sign up for a full day of classes? No, you do not have to sign up for all 8 classes. You can sign up for as many classes as you would like. If you are on campus without a parent, with no class, you must sign up for Study Hall. So, if you do not have a class at that time you will choose “With Parent” or “Off Campus.” |
Q: |
Can I drop my child off? |
A: |
Yes, you are welcome to drop off your child, or stay with them on campus. You just need to make sure that if you are not with your child they have a class to attend. We do not allow students to be without an adult on our campus if they do not have a class. |
